The PHP Hydra replacement selector switch is the two-digit display for a Hydra chip on a 1994.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It replaces a switch with a dead display, stuck buttons, or a cracked housing.
It is the switch only. The chip stays in the PCM, and the tunes stay where they are. No reflash and no recalibration. Plug it into the existing ribbon cable, stick it on a flat surface, and the same 17 positions come back: bypass, no-start, and the 15 tune slots. The display is green.
It fits any 1994.5–2003 7.3 that already has a PHP Hydra. It does not include the chip, the ribbon cable, or a gauge pod. It will not run a TS, Revolver, or Arachnid.

Will this selector work for all hydra chips? Specifically my selector is currently red and the second number is only half there.

I've had mine installed for about three months now and the illumination is REALLY DIM! I'll have the truck running and the display covered with my hand to darken the area around it, And I can still barely see the displayed number. Not to mention when pressing the buttons, the unit doesn't change programs. I may have to press the buttons a few times for it to change.
Note From Store Owner: You can change the settings on the switch to be brighter. You might have accidently dimmed it.

The selector is a couple months old . I have to push mine several times to get it to change. Also the light is very dime
