The KC 300761 is a replacement center section for a genuine Garrett GTP38R on a 1999.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It drops into the 66 mm ball-bearing housings and converts the cartridge to a journal-bearing CHRA with an S300 turbine wheel and a KC billet compressor wheel.
The GTP38R is not the stock turbo. This cartridge will not fit a TP38, a GTP38, a D66, a Brute 66, or any other KC turbo. The stock-turbo cartridge is 300857. This one is only for the Garrett 38R. KC uses the larger turbine and billet compressor for quicker spool and more boost than the original ball-bearing center. It can be rebuilt later. Housings and the wastegate are not included. DIY installs are not covered by KC’s warranty.
It fits late-1999.5 through 2003 trucks that already have a genuine GTP38R.
