Manufactured from heavy-duty military-grade cross-linked high-density polyethylene (XLHDPE), this direct-fit mid-ship tank nearly doubles the fuel storage of factory 38-gallon tanks. Ensure the fuel tank is as close to empty as possible before beginning installation, run the truck on level ground, and disconnect both negative battery cables. Support the factory tank securely with a transmission jack or wide floor jack cradle, disconnect the fuel filler neck, vent hoses, and wiring harness, and release the quick-disconnect fuel supply and return lines using appropriate disconnect tools. Lower the factory tank, remove the OEM retaining lock ring, and extract the fuel sender assembly—inspecting the fragile plastic intake foot ("duckbill") for cracks or deterioration and replacing it if brittle. Install the Titan float arm extension bracket onto the OEM sending unit to ensure the dash fuel gauge registers full capacity accurately through the full sweep of the deeper 60-gallon tank. Drop the modified OEM sending unit into the Titan tank with a new O-ring seal, secure it using the provided Titan heavy-duty lock ring, and lift the tank into place. Fasten the tank securely using the included Titan galvanized steel mounting straps, reconnect all fuel and electrical lines, and fill with clean diesel to check for leaks around the sender seal and filler neck.
