The XDP XD249 is a coolant filtration system for a 1999.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It is a bypass filter. The DieselSite kit is CFIK. The Sinister kit is SD-COOLFIL-7-3-W.

Casting sand and sediment eat the water pump and the radiator. This kit filters a side stream. The base is anodized billet aluminum. Silicone hoses come pre-assembled. Ball valves shut the lines off for a filter change. The element is a Donaldson P554685, a parts-store filter. Hardware is in the box. Hose color is black or blue, depending on the batch.

It fits 1999.5–2003 Super Duty 7.3 trucks.

A 1994–1997 OBS uses a different kit. Flush the system if the coolant is already muddy. The filter is not a substitute for the right coolant.
