What the IPR valve does.

The 6.0L Powerstroke uses high-pressure engine oil to fire its injectors. The IPR valve regulates that oil pressure, which controls injector operation. When the IPR valve wears, sticks or leaks, the injectors can't get the pressure they need, and drivability suffers quickly.

What Problem Does This Solve?

• Hard starts and no-starts. A failing IPR valve can prevent the high-pressure oil system from building enough pressure to fire the injectors, causing long cranking times or a no-start.
• Stalling and poor running. When the IPR valve can't hold steady pressure, the engine may stall, idle roughly or run poorly.
• Low power. Without proper oil pressure control, the injectors can't deliver full fuel, leaving the truck sluggish and down on power.
