Accurate pressure readings for smooth 6.0L performance.

The Alliant Power AP63460 Injection Control Pressure (ICP) Sensor is a direct replacement for 2004.5–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke trucks. It mounts on the passenger-side valve cover and cross-references to Ford OE part numbers 4C3Z-9F838-A and 4C3Z-9F838-AB. It delivers an accurate pressure signal to the engine computer so your injectors fire correctly, restoring smooth idle, strong starts and proper drivability.

    What the ICP sensor does.

The 6.0L uses high-pressure engine oil to fire its injectors. The ICP sensor measures that oil pressure and reports it to the engine computer, which uses the reading to control injection. The computer then commands the IPR valve to raise or lower pressure as needed. If the sensor sends a bad reading, the whole system works from the wrong information.

    From a trusted 6.0L supplier.

Alliant Power was established in 2002 through a partnership that made it the exclusive supplier of new OE HEUI injectors for Ford and Navistar diesel trucks. Today it's a trusted name in fuel injection systems and engine components for Powerstroke and Navistar diesel engines.

    Key Features

    • Direct replacement ICP sensor
    • Mounts on the passenger-side valve cover
    • Provides an accurate injection control pressure signal to the engine computer
    • Replaces Ford 4C3Z-9F838-A and 4C3Z-9F838-AB
    • Replaces Navistar 1845428C92 and 1845427C2

    Fitment

    • 2004.5–2007 Ford F-Series Super Duty and Excursion 6.0L Powerstroke
    • 2004–2010 Ford E-Series 6.0L Powerstroke
    • 2006–2010 Ford 4.5L Powerstroke LCF
    • 2004–2007 Navistar VT365
    • 2006 Navistar VT275
    • 2007–2010 Navistar MaxxForce 5

Early 2003–2004 6.0L engines use a different ICP sensor. If your sensor isn't on the passenger-side valve cover, check the part number before ordering.

    What Problem Does This Solve?

    • Rough idle, misfires and stalling. A failing ICP sensor can send incorrect pressure readings, causing the engine to idle rough, misfire or stall.
    • Surging and poor drivability. Bad ICP data can cause the engine computer to over- or under-command pressure, leading to surging and inconsistent power.
    • Check engine light. A faulty ICP sensor can trigger ICP-related codes and illuminate the check engine light.
    • Oil in the connector. ICP sensors can leak oil internally into the electrical connector and harness. If you find oil in the ICP connector, replace the sensor and inspect the pigtail as well.
