Accurate, fast-responding pressure sensing for your 6.0L.

The Bostech BTS021104 Injection Control Pressure (ICP) Sensor is a direct replacement for 2004.5–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke trucks. It matches the original sensor in fit and function, delivering reliable, accurate readings with extremely fast response times so your engine runs as intended.

    Built to protect your electronics.

Bostech designs its high-pressure sensors with built-in circuit protection to help keep your engine computer and electrical systems safe. The sensor's sturdy, vibration-resistant construction and thermal stability are built for the heat and vibration of a diesel engine bay.

    What the ICP sensor does.

The 6.0L uses high-pressure engine oil to fire its injectors. The ICP sensor measures that oil pressure and reports it to the engine computer, which uses the reading to control injection. The computer then commands the IPR valve to raise or lower pressure as needed. If the sensor sends a bad reading, the whole system works from the wrong information.

    Key Features

    • Direct replacement that matches the original sensor's fit and function
    • Accurate readings with extremely fast response times
    • Built-in circuit protection for your engine computer and electronics
    • Sturdy, vibration-resistant design with thermal stability
    • Pressure sensing technology proven in diesel and gasoline direct injection systems
    • Fits 2004.5–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke (passenger-side valve cover location)

    What Problem Does This Solve?

    • Hard starts and no-starts. A failed ICP sensor can report incorrect pressure, keeping the injectors from firing properly. A common field check: if the truck starts with the ICP sensor unplugged, the sensor has likely failed.
    • Rough idle, surging and stalling. Bad ICP data can cause the engine computer to over- or under-command pressure, leading to rough idle, surging and stalling.
    • ICP trouble codes. A failing sensor commonly sets codes such as P2284 (ICP sensor performance/range) and P2285 (ICP sensor circuit low), along with a check engine light.
    • Oil in the connector. ICP sensors can leak oil internally into the electrical connector and harness. If you find oil in the ICP connector, replace the sensor and inspect the pigtail as well.

    Fitment

The 6.0L Powerstroke used two ICP sensor locations. On 2003–early 2004 engines, the sensor sits behind the turbo. Ford moved it to the passenger-side valve cover on late 2004–2007 engines. This sensor is for the later passenger-side valve cover location.
