The DieselSite HPOPRP is a repair plug for the high-pressure oil pump on a 1994–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It replaces the short-thread plug on the bottom of the pump, driver side, that pulls out and leaks.
That plug is often sold as non-serviceable, which is why people buy a whole pump for an oil drip under the cover. The threads on the factory plug are too short. DieselSite machines this one longer so it holds. An O-ring and a packet of Loctite are included. The pump has to come off the truck. It will not stop a leak at the discharge fittings or a weak pump that will not make ICP.
It fits 1994–2003 7.3 trucks, OBS and Super Duty. It is the plug only.
Fitment
- 1994–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke
- Bottom driver-side HPOP plug
- Longer threads, O-ring and Loctite included
- Pump must be removed
- Does not include the pump
If the pump is already off for a gasket, install this even if the plug has not leaked yet. If ICP is low and the plug is dry, the pump or the IPR is the problem, not this plug.
