The Driven Diesel DD-73L-HPOPGearCover is the gear access cover for the high-pressure oil pump on a 1994–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It is the cover that comes off to reach the HPOP gear bolt.
The factory cover seals with RTV, which is why it weeps after a pump job and why sealant ends up in the gear. This one uses a captured O-ring, so the ring cannot walk out and no sealant is required. A number 6 O-ring boss port is in the cover for an oil return from a second HPOP or a bypass filter. Stainless hardware is included. The EBP sensor tube is not on this part. That is the gear cover kit, for a 1999–2003 truck where the sensor sits in front of the reservoir and blocks the cover.
It fits 1994–2003 7.3 trucks. A 1994–1997 with the sensor behind the reservoir does not need the tube.

The gear bolt is Ford W302170. If the sensor is still mounted on the cover and you want it moved, order the kit with the tube.

The cover does what it�s suppose to do, I would suggest putting some anti sieze on the bolts before installing g. I hade to take it off and the bolts were pretty tight. One of the Allen heads stripped out. I would definitely buy it again if the need came.
