The Driven Diesel DD-UPH is a universal heavy-duty fuel pump wiring harness kit designed for aftermarket electric fuel pumps and custom diesel fuel systems. It provides a dedicated high-amperage 12-volt battery power feed directly to frame-mounted or in-tank pumps. Driven Diesel builds the harness with high-quality automotive-grade wire, an inline weather-pack fuse holder, a heavy-duty 40-amp sealed relay, protective split-loom tubing, and a complete terminal hardware pack.
Voltage drop across aging factory wiring, melted factory pump relays, and fuel pressure dropping under load from starved electric pumps are what this harness eliminates. High-performance aftermarket pumps like Bosch 044, A1000, Walbro, and FASS units draw significantly more amperage than stock chassis wiring can safely support, resulting in overheated wires, pump cavitation, and premature motor burnout. It is the complete wiring harness, relay, fuse holder, and terminal kit only; the fuel pump itself is sold separately.

Disconnect all vehicle battery ground cables before connecting the main positive power lead to the battery terminal or starter relay stud. Connect the trigger wire to a clean, key-on 12-volt ignition source or an oil pressure/inertia safety switch circuit so the fuel pump shuts off automatically when the key is turned off or in an accident. Always terminate the ground ring terminal to bare, unpainted chassis metal to guarantee full voltage delivery to the fuel pump motor.
