6.0 Powerstroke 58V FICM Upgrade | Stronger Injector Performance
The Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) is one of the most common failure points on the 6.0L Powerstroke. When it weakens, injector voltage drops below the critical 45V threshold, causing hard starts (especially cold), rough idle, misfires, loss of power, and in many cases a no-start condition.
Our DTC 58vfcm 58V FICM Upgrade is a professionally rebuilt and modified unit that delivers a stronger 58-volt signal to the injectors (vs. the factory 48 volts). This upgrade gives the injectors a more powerful and consistent drive signal for faster spool valve actuation and improved performance.
Key Benefits of the 58V FICM Upgrade
- Improved Cold Starts — Stronger voltage helps overcome injector stiction, a very common 6.0L issue in cold weather.
- Better Injector Response — Faster and more consistent injector opening/closing for smoother idle and throttle response.
- Reduced Stiction & Misfires — Higher voltage helps keep the spool valves moving freely.
- Restored Drivability — Many customers report crisper pedal feel and elimination of low-power or rough-running symptoms caused by a weak stock FICM.
- Potential Power Gains — When combined with tuning, field reports show gains in the 30+ rwhp range over a failing stock unit.
Important Technical Note This 58V FICM is internally calibrated so scan tools will continue to display ~48V. This prevents false over-voltage codes (such as P0611) while still delivering the full performance benefit of the higher voltage directly to the injectors.
Plug & Play Installation Direct bolt-in replacement. No PCM or FICM programming is required. Simply remove your old unit and install the new one. We strongly recommend verifying your current FICM voltage output (KOEO, cranking, and running) before replacement — it should maintain a minimum of 45V.
What's Included / Requirements
- Rebuilt & upgraded 58V FICM (DTC 58vfcm)
- 3-Year Warranty
- Core charge required (refundable upon return of your old FICM core)
Fitment Fits all 2003–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke engines (F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550 Super Duty & 2003–2005 Excursion).
Important: Electronics are non-returnable. Please confirm fitment and properly diagnose your FICM before purchasing.
Recommended Add-On PHP FICM Custom Tunes — Optimize your new 58V FICM for maximum performance and efficiency.
