The Ford F6TZ-9417-AA is the mounting gasket between the high-pressure oil pump and the front cover on a 1996–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It is the gasket only. The pump is not included.
That gasket is not reusable. Any time the HPOP comes off for a pump, the repair plug, or a leak at the cover, this one gets replaced. A reused gasket weeps oil at the front cover and can bleed the pressure the injectors need. Torque the two mounting bolts to 18 lb-ft. More than that can warp the cover. It fits 1996–2003 Super Duty, OBS, and Excursion 7.3 trucks. A 1994–1995 pump uses F4TZ-9417-A.
