- Harness Requirement Note: Direct plug-and-play for vehicles built on or after 09/15/2003; early models with the early 3-plug harness configuration require the updated Ford 6C3Z-9F759-A jumper adapter harness
- What's in the Box: (1) Complete Alliant Power HFCM Assembly with Pre-Installed Electric Fuel Pump, (1) Pre-Installed 10-Micron Primary Fuel Filter Element, (1) Pre-Installed WIF Sensor, and (1) Updated HFCM Drain Plug
Problem Solved: Curing Pressure Drops, Hard Starts & Injector Stiction
On HEUI-equipped 6.0L Powerstroke engines, consistent low-pressure fuel delivery (minimum 45 PSI under full load) is essential to lubricate the fuel injectors and cushion the rapid movement of the internal intensifier piston. When the factory frame-rail HFCM wears out from high mileage, water contamination, or electrical degradation, system pressure drops below critical thresholds. Low fuel pressure leads to fuel cavitation, spool valve stiction, hesitations under throttle, extended hot/cold cranking, and catastrophic internal injector scoring. The Alliant Power AP63426 replaces the complete fatigued unit with a brand-new assembly, resolving internal bypass leaks and ensuring positive fuel delivery to the cylinder heads.

Safety & Depressurization: Park on level ground, set the emergency brake, and disconnect both negative battery cables. Slowly loosen the secondary fuel filter cap in the engine valley (24mm socket) a few turns to relieve residual head pressure. Module Draining: Place a drain pan directly beneath the HFCM located along the inside driver-side frame rail. Back out the thumb drain plug to drain collected water and diesel fuel completely. Remove the 36mm primary filter cap and element to evacuate any remaining fluid. Electrical Disconnection: Disconnect the wiring harness plugs from the pump motor and the water-in-fuel (WIF) sensor. Unclip the jumper harness from the chassis retaining brackets. Fuel Line Disconnection: Disengage the secondary plastic safety clips on the fuel quick-connect couplings. Using a 3/8-inch fuel line disconnect tool, release the fuel inlet (from fuel tank) and fuel outlet (to engine) lines from the module tubes. (Never pry fittings with screwdrivers to avoid damaging internal locking fingers). Old Module Removal: Support the module and use a 13mm socket to remove the three (3) mounting nuts securing the HFCM mounting bracket to the chassis studs. Carefully remove the original unit from the vehicle. Mounting New HFCM: Position the Alliant AP63426 assembly over the frame rail mounting studs. Hand-thread the three (3) factory retaining nuts to avoid cross-threading, then torque to 15–18 ft-lbs (20–24 Nm). Connections: Push each quick-connect fuel line squarely onto its corresponding tube fitting until an audible click is heard, pull back firmly to confirm the lock, and re-engage the secondary safety latches. Reconnect the electrical harness connectors until the lock tabs click securely. Priming Sequence: Verify the drain plug is hand-tight and the primary filter cap is torqued to 19 ft-lbs (25 Nm). Reconnect both battery terminals. Cycle the ignition key to the "RUN" position for 30 seconds without cranking to prime the lift pump and purge air from the circuit. Repeat the key cycle 4 to 5 times. Start the engine and inspect all fittings and housing seams for complete leak-free operation.
