The KC 300132 Stock Plus is a stock-sized turbo for a late-1999 through 2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It drops into a Super Duty pickup in place of the GTP38. It is not a larger turbo, and it is not a reman. There is no core charge.
The compressor is a KC billet wheel. The turbine is an SXE wheel. The center uses a 360-degree thrust bearing. A high-flow non-EBPV outlet and an adjustable wastegate are on it. Gaskets and O-rings are included. KC rates it for stock injectors, up to about 160 cc. It spools faster and runs cooler than a worn stock turbo without the lag of a Stage 2 or Stage 3. The inlet stays the factory size, so the stock boot fits.
It will not fit an early 1999 or an OBS truck without modification. A van can take it, but the intake boot and the downpipe have to be reworked.
Use this when the stock turbo is done and you still tow on stock or mild injectors. Bigger injectors belong on a Stage 2.

I have a stock, but tuned engine. When hauling heavy, the turbo surges/ stalls/ coughs. Will this turbo correct that issue?

Shipped fast and packaged well. Spools faster and makes a little more power than stock. Wasn�t look for hp gains just a nice turbo for towing. Highly recommend! Also has a nice louder whistle too!
