The Garrett 451274-0005 is the high-flow turbo outlet for a 1999–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It replaces the factory exhaust backpressure valve with an open adapter, so the turbine dumps straight into the downpipe.
The EBPV is a butterfly in the outlet. When it sticks or just sits in the stream, it adds backpressure and heat. This Garrett piece deletes that valve. Shops that install it report faster spool and lower EGTs, on the order of the 100-degree drop Garrett’s sellers quote. It bolts to a stock GTP38, a Banks housing, a Garrett 38R, and the usual aftermarket 7.3 housings. The downpipe uses the existing flange.
It fits early-1999 through 2003 F-Series trucks. It will not fit an E-Series van. The pedestal and the EBPV solenoid are separate. If the valve is deleted, the solenoid and the rod should come off with it.
This is the outlet, not the turbine housing. A leaking up-pipe will still soot the firewall after this is on.

Good quality part, definitely fixed my oil leakage problem and got rid of unnecessary parts! Paired with the Garrett high flow turbo outlet and installed new up pipes and Y collector and a MBRP 4 inch turbo back exhaust. Woke up the engine in a major way! Better mpg and lower exhaust temps. Must do for any 7.3 powerstroke.

Great looking part. Emailed customer service to be sure it would fit with stock exhaust, and they got back quickly! Fit flawlessly and would hands down buy this Garrett part over other aftermarket parts.
