7.3 Powerstroke DTC PCM Testing Service
If your 7.3 Powerstroke won’t start, won’t communicate with a scan tool, has unexplained drivability issues, or failed after a chip was removed with the key on, this bench testing service tells you exactly whether the PCM is good or bad before you spend hundreds on a replacement.
What’s Tested
Our comprehensive bench test verifies that your PCM:
- Boots up correctly
- Activates the glow plug relay/module
- Activates the fuel pump
- Activates the Injector Driver Module (IDM)
- Receives and processes the Cam Position Sensor (CPS) signal
- Commands the IDM to fire the injectors
- Activates the correct transmission shift solenoids
- Communicates with a scan tool
- Transmits accurate sensor values
Critical signals (IPR and EPC) are also checked on an oscilloscope. J3 port terminal repair is included at no extra charge.
Performance chip? Send it with the PCM — we’ll test it together at no additional cost. Do not send the cable or switch.
After Testing
- PCM tests good: You’ll receive an email with results. Your parts typically ship back the same day or on the next business day.
- PCM tests bad: We’ll call you to discuss options.
How to Send It In
Print and fill out the PCM/IDM shipping form and include it in the package. Customer is responsible for shipping to us (we do not provide a prepaid label).

2001 f350 tear tag = nvk2.
Do you sell them outright or test and repair. I have a 6 position bullydog and it won't run with the bullydog disconnected,but in no position whatsoever does it run right. Wanting to 86 the bullydog .it was on the truck when I bought it.
Ir repair or replacement is nessicary what cost will I be looking at?

PCM tested out fine. Was not showing a bounce on the tach needle, which a 2000 7.3 diesel will do. Cleaned the CPS connection with electrical contact cleaner. Now, it starts and runs. The guys did a fantastic job in testing the PCM.

I sent in my PCM for testing, we were convinced it was bad. The Guys at Full Force were great and found the PCM to be functioning correctly. There was a little mix-up in the shipping but Chris made things right.
