The aFe 46-60078 is the Street Series wastegate actuator for a 1999.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It replaces the factory can on a stock GTP38. It is the stamped-steel version. The billet actuator is 46-60079.

The body is black-coated stamped steel, with a heavier spring than the stock can so the valve stays seated longer and does not creep in the midrange. The arm is adjustable, about 20 to 60 psi, with a jam nut. It bolts to the factory mounts. No turbo modification. The valve in the housing stays.

A stock GTP38 is not a 60 psi turbo. Use the range for a built charger. On a stock turbo, leave it near factory boost and use a gauge. It fits late-1999.5 through 2003 F-250 and F-350 trucks. Early 1999 trucks do not have this wastegate.

If you want the billet can preset to 40 psi, that is the GT actuator, 46-60079. This one is the street replacement.
