The Ford F81Z-9C681-BA is the OE turbo intake boot for a 1999.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It joins the turbo inlet to the crankcase vent adapter and replaces the factory hose that cracks, softens, and leaks unmetered air.
A split boot on this connection pulls oily crankcase air and dust past the filter. That shows up as a whistle, oil film on the compressor inlet, and a truck that will not hold a clean idle. This boot is a direct fit, with the clamps needed to seal both ends. No cutting or adapters.
It fits late-1999.5 through 2003 Super Duty and Excursion 7.3 trucks. Early 1999 and OBS trucks use a different inlet hose.
Fitment
- 1999.5–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke
- F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and Excursion
- Turbo inlet to crankcase vent adapter
- Includes clamps
- Does not fit early 1999
Replace it when the rubber is oil-soaked or collapsed. A sealed inlet is what keeps the turbo fed with filtered air.
