The Ford XC3Z-5A231-AA is the OE V-band clamp that locks the downpipe to the turbo outlet on a 1999.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It is the clamp that usually gets stretched or rounded off when the turbo comes out.
A loose clamp at this joint leaks exhaust ahead of the downpipe. That soots the firewall, smells in the cab, and costs drive pressure. This Ford clamp is a direct replacement for the factory band and fits a stock or aftermarket downpipe that uses the factory turbo flange. It is sold individually.
It fits 1999.5–2003 F-Series 7.3 trucks. It does not fit E-Series vans.
Fitment
- 1999.5–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke
- F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550
- Turbo outlet to downpipe
- Genuine Ford XC3Z-5A231-AA
- Sold individually
- Does not fit E-Series
Replace it any time the turbo or downpipe comes off. A reused clamp rarely seals the second time.
