The DieselSite TM73 Turbo-Master is an adjustable wastegate controller for a 1999.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It replaces the factory spring can on a GTP38 or a GTP38R.

The stock can opens when the PCM sends boost to it, so the gate can crack early and bleed drive pressure. The Turbo-Master is a mechanical relief. It holds the wastegate shut until turbine inlet pressure hits the setting you choose, then it bypasses. DieselSite machines it from billet aluminum, not a cast can. Hardware and a vacuum check ball are included. The factory valve in the housing stays. The vacuum lines to the solenoid are no longer what controls the gate.

It fits late-1999.5 through 2003 trucks with a wastegated GTP38, and it also fits a Garrett GTP38R. Early 1999 and OBS turbos do not have this wastegate.

Set it so the gate still opens. Cranking it all the way shut can overspeed the turbo. A boost gauge is how you know where it is.
