Ford's updated turbo oil feed tube for the 6.0L.
The Ford 3C3Z-9T516-A Turbo Oil Feed Tube is a genuine Ford part that supplies pressurized engine oil to the turbocharger on the 6.0L Powerstroke. It's Ford's latest updated design, built as a solid tube with no flexible connections to crack, harden or leak over time.
Why the feed line matters.
Your turbo spins at extremely high speeds and depends on a steady supply of oil to lubricate and cool its bearings. A leaking or restricted feed line can starve the turbo of oil, leading to bearing wear and costly turbo damage.
Key Features
- Genuine Ford OEM part
- Ford's latest updated turbo oil feed tube design
- Solid tube with no flexible connections to fail
- Direct replacement for the factory feed line
- Supplies pressurized oil to lubricate and cool the turbo bearings
- Fits 2003 (built after 3/18/2003) through 2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke Super Duty and 2004–2010 E-Series vans
What Problem Does This Solve?
- Oil leaks at the turbo. Turbo oil feed lines with flexible sections can become brittle from engine heat and develop cracks and leaks. A solid-tube design eliminates that weak point.
- Protecting your turbo. Insufficient oil flow can overheat and damage turbo bearings. A healthy feed line keeps the turbo properly lubricated for long life.
- Turbo replacement or rebuild. If you're replacing or rebuilding your turbo, installing a new feed line at the same time ensures fresh, leak-free oil delivery to the new or rebuilt unit.
Important Fitment Note: Early 2003 Engines
Early 2003 6.0L engines (built on or before 3/18/2003) used a different turbo oil feed tube with a threaded connection to the oil cooler housing instead of an O-ring boss connection. If your engine is an early build:
- You'll also need Ford oil filter base 3C3Z-6881-CA to use this updated feed tube.
- If you're installing a Bullet Proof Diesel remote-filter oil cooler, this tube is required. It is not compatible with the BPD FOF (factory oil filter) version.
Engines built after 3/18/2003 can use this feed tube as a direct replacement.
Complete the Job
Many technicians replace the turbo oil feed and drain lines together. Ford's updated drain tube eliminates kinked bends in the original that could restrict oil flow and cause oil to back up at the turbo drain. Install fresh gaskets and hardware with the new line for a leak-free seal.
