The Motorcraft 5C3Z-9D930-A Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) Wiring Harness is a genuine Ford OEM replacement engine sub-harness engineered specifically for late-production 2004 through 2007 Ford Super Duty trucks and Excursions equipped with the 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engine. Engineered to handle the high-vibration environment of the engine valley and rocker covers, this factory-original harness connects the high-voltage FICM directly to all eight fuel injectors and critical engine sensors, delivering precise, uncorrupted 48-volt open and close signals to ensure crisp injector spool valve response.

    Quick Specs & Kit Inclusions

    • Application: Engine-mounted Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) to fuel injector wiring sub-harness
    • Production Build Window: Fits vehicles built on or after 04/11/2004 through 2007 (late 2004.5–2007 engine architecture)
    • Voltage Integrity: Heavy-gauge copper conductors rated for high-current 48V DC pulsed signals to prevent resistance-induced voltage drops
    • Integrated Terminations: Features 8 dedicated fuel injector plugs with mechanical retention clips, primary FICM module interface connectors, integrated sensor leads (EBP, ECT/EOT), and factory block ground eyelets
    • Manufacturing Standard: Genuine Ford Motorcraft Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) component
    • Emissions Status: 50-state legal (direct OE replacement electrical harness)
    • Direct Interchange Part Numbers: Ford 5C3Z-9D930-A, Motorcraft 5C3Z9D930A
    • What's in the Box: (1) Genuine Ford Motorcraft 5C3Z-9D930-A Complete Injector Wiring Harness Assembly

Problem Solved: Curing Broken Retention Clips, High-Resistance Shorts & Cylinder Misfires

Over thousands of thermal cycles, radiant heat from the turbocharger, up-pipes, and exhaust manifolds embrittles the factory wiring insulation and plastic connector housings. On 6.0L engines, the plastic locking tabs on the injector plugs and the underside of the FICM module frequently crack, shear off, or back out under engine vibration. This loose fitment causes intermittent circuit dropouts, triggering injector circuit low/high diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs P0261 through P0284). Additionally, frayed internal copper strands create high electrical resistance that pulls 48-volt FICM main power down, burning out internal FICM power supply logic boards and causing rough idling, cold-start bucking, or dead-pedal symptoms. Installing the genuine Motorcraft 5C3Z-9D930-A restores factory-tight mechanical locking clips, fresh heat shielding, and clean circuit continuity across all eight cylinders.

    • 2004.5–2007 Ford F-550 Super Duty 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel (Built on or after 04/11/2004)
    • 2004.5–2005 Ford Excursion 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel (Built on or after 04/11/2004)
    • Build Date Notice: Engineered for late 2004 to 2007 model years (production date 04/11/2004 and newer). Early 2003 builds (01/30/2003–12/01/2003) utilize part # 3C3Z-9D930-AA; mid-year 2004 builds (12/02/2003–04/10/2004) utilize part # 4C3Z-9D930-AA.

Safety & Power Cutoff: Park on level ground, turn off the ignition, and disconnect both negative battery cables. Allow the engine valley and exhaust piping to cool completely before servicing. Clearance Disassembly: Remove the air cleaner assembly, intake elbow ducting, and the driver-side upper intercooler (CAC) charge tube to provide clear access to the FICM mounting bracket and cylinder head rocker covers. Module & Sensor Disconnection: Depress the locking latches on the three (3) main FICM connectors on the underside of the module and pull them downward to release. Disconnect attached engine sensor leads (such as the Exhaust Backpressure / EBP sensor) and unbolt harness retaining brackets. Injector Terminal Extraction: Depress the wire release clips on each of the eight (8) fuel injector connectors along the rocker cover pass-through channels. Release the old harness from the valve cover saddle clips and carefully remove it from the engine bay. New Harness Routing: Lay the new Motorcraft 5C3Z-9D930-A harness into position along the rocker boxes, routing each cylinder leg cleanly to its corresponding injector number. Firmly seat each injector plug until an audible, mechanical click confirms positive retention. FICM Connector Engagement: Insert the three main module connectors into their corresponding keyed receptacles on the underside of the FICM. Push firmly upward until each locking latch snaps securely into its locked detent. Grounds & Heat Shielding: Bolt down all factory ground eyelets to their specified engine/chassis ground locations and torque to 8–10 ft-lbs (11–13 Nm). Snap all conduit routing clips into the factory valve cover brackets to maintain clearance from high-temperature exhaust and turbo piping. Diagnostic Verification & Startup: Reinstall the CAC tube, intake ducting, and reconnect both battery terminals. Turn the ignition key to "RUN" (KOEO) and clear any historical DTCs using an OBD-II diagnostic tool. Run an injector buzz test to verify crisp solenoid response on all eight cylinders, then start the engine to confirm smooth idle and steady 48V FICM output.

Great price and fast response. The Ford dealer wanted $100 more and didn't have it in stock and didn't know when it would be back in stock. HUH! Full Force sent it out and I had it 4 days from order. Works a charm!
