Restore reliable starting, smooth idle, and full power to your 7.3L Powerstroke with the Grizzly GA33402 Injection Pressure Regulator (IPR) Valve. This critical component is the heart of the high-pressure oil system that actuates the HEUI injectors. When the factory IPR fails or sticks, it directly causes hard starts, rough running, power loss, and stalling. The Grizzly GA33402 is engineered as a direct-fit replacement that meets or exceeds OEM specifications for precise pressure control and long-term durability.

The IPR valve regulates high-pressure engine oil that powers your injectors. The PCM commands the solenoid to control how much oil is bypassed, maintaining the exact Injection Control Pressure (ICP) needed for proper fuel delivery. A failing IPR is one of the most common causes of drivability issues on 1995.5–2003 7.3L Powerstrokes.

Common Symptoms of a Bad IPR Valve:

    • Hard starting or no-start (especially when hot)
    • Rough idle, surging, or stumbling
    • Loss of power and sluggish performance
    • Random stalling at stops or under load
    • High or erratic ICP readings and related trouble codes (P1211, P1283, etc.)

    Key Features:

    • Direct OEM-style replacement — Fits and functions like the original part with no modifications required
    • Precision-engineered for accurate high-pressure oil regulation and consistent injector performance
    • Heavy-duty construction built to handle the demanding conditions of diesel service
    • Restores factory-like drivability — Returns proper ICP control, smoother idle, quicker starts, and restored power
    • Cost-effective, high-quality alternative to OEM and other premium brands

For easiest installation, use an IPR valve socket/tool (available separately). Many customers also replace the IPR pigtail connector at the same time for a complete repair.

I was in a pinch and Alliant is on backorder. Full Force recommended the Grizzly unit over the Motorcraft due to Motorcraft now being manufactured by Dorman. I was hesitant but needed the truck up right away. I was pleasantly surprised to find a quality unit. Finish is nice and the big difference between bad ones and the OE is the wait of the IPR valve, normally cheap ones feel light. This one was heavy. Installed easily and is the correct nut size as the OE. Truck fired up. IPR % and ICP numbers are all in spec. Truck runs like a top. Thank you Full Force! P.S Grab the IPR wrench, way easier than snaking in a deep socket and flex 1/2 ratchet.
