The DieselSite ADRB73 is a billet Adrenaline high-pressure oil pump for a 1996–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It is a bolt-on replacement for the factory HPOP, in a billet housing instead of the cast one.
The cast housing is what cracks at the threads and weeps at the known leak points. DieselSite machines this one from billet and upgrades the internals so a single-housing pump can feed more than stock. Stock split-shot injectors through about 175 cc are in range. AC single-shots go to about 200 cc. AD hybrids go to about 285 cc. Every pump is flow-tested before it ships. Outlet-fitting O-rings, three IPR O-rings, and a mounting gasket are included. The IPR itself is not. It uses the 1996–2003 regulator. The warranty is 3 years, unlimited miles.
This is the anti-drainback pump for engines serial 201681 and later, which is the 1996–2003 range. A 1994–1995 pump is a different part. It fits F-250 through F-550 and the T444E.
Change the oil when it goes on. A new pump on dirty oil will not last. If the injectors are already past what this housing can feed, say so before you order.

If I have this HPOP installed on my truck and need to buy a new Alternator, do I need to buy an upgraded alternator?

The HPOP doesn't affect the alternator.
