Bring a tired 6.0L turbo back to life.
The KC Turbos Billet Compressor Wheel is a drop-in upgrade for the stock turbo on 2005–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke trucks. It replaces the factory cast compressor wheel with KC's GTX-style billet wheel with extended tips, giving you quicker spool, more airflow and better overall drivability. It's an affordable way to improve turbo performance without buying a complete new turbo.
Single-plane design that outperforms stock.
KC's wheel uses an 11-blade single-plane design. KC's testing has shown that single-plane wheels outperform the stock dual-plane design.
Stronger and balanced.
Machined from billet, the wheel is stronger than the factory cast wheel and comes component balanced, so it's ready to install.
Key Features
- GTX-style billet compressor wheel with extended tips
- 11-blade single-plane design
- Drop-in replacement for the factory cast wheel
- Faster spool-up
- More top-end performance
- Lower EGTs
- Stronger material than the factory cast wheel
- Component balanced
What Problem Does This Solve?
- Turbo lag on high-mileage trucks. Older 6.0L turbos can feel slow to build boost. A billet wheel, paired with a good cleaning and fresh rebuild kit, can restore quick spool and strong towing response.
- Weak factory cast wheels. Billet construction adds strength over the stock cast wheel for long-term durability.
- Upgrading on a budget. If you're already rebuilding your turbo, a billet compressor wheel adds performance for a fraction of the cost of a complete performance turbo.
Pair It With a 10-Blade Turbine
For even more top-end flow, lower EGTs and the classic 2003 6.0L whistle, KC recommends pairing this wheel with its 10-blade turbine wheel. Or choose KC's Balanced Assembly Turbo Kit, which combines both wheels with a rebuild kit.
Before You Order
- Check your turbo: 2003 and 2005–2007 stock turbos originally used different compressor wheels, and many rebuilt turbos have had 2003-style wheels installed. If your turbo has been rebuilt or replaced, confirm what you have before ordering.
- Reverse thread: The 6.0L turbo's compressor nut uses a reverse thread, so you turn it to the right to loosen.
Important: DIY Installation
This is a DIY component for experienced turbo builders. DIY products are not covered under warranty. If you're not comfortable working on turbos, have a turbo shop perform the installation.
Fitment
Fits stock 2005–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke turbos. Not for Garrett PowerMax turbos. See the KC PowerMax Billet Compressor Wheel (300108) instead. For 2003–2004 turbos, use KC 300128.
